Festival of Stars, The Pavilion Sports Field will go ahead on Saturday 10 September

By Kind Permission and Collaboration with C3 Church and The Pavilion.

Sad though it is … we don’t think the Queen, who was sustained by faith and driven by duty, would want us to cancel this community event.  She would understand and endorse our decision to go ahead with people from all parts of our community looking forward to it.

Our Festival Chair, Rupert Kaye says:

‘In view of yesterday’s sad news and this period of national mourning, I will add some respectful remarks about the passing of The Queen at the beginning of the event.  I will say a very short prayer and then invite people to join in for one minute of applause in thankful appreciation.’
