GOSPEL SONGWRITING COMPETITION 2023

FOR STUDENTS

PERFORMANCE BY LONDON COMMUNITY GOSPEL CHOIR & PRIZE MONEY!!

A gospel songwriting competition (with two categories, Student and Open) – based on a story, theme, passage or text from the Bible – offered by Cheltenham Christian Arts Festival as part of GOSPEL 2023 in collaboration with Cheltenham Education Partnership and the London Community Gospel Choir.

THE PRIZE

The winning Student entry will have the incredible and life-shaping experience of their song being arranged and performed on stage by LCGE in Cheltenham Town Hall on Sunday 23 April 2023.  They will also take home £100 prize money!

 

WHO FOR?

A competition with 2 categories open to 1) Cheltenham school students aged 14 upwards and 2) the general public.  The schools category competition will be run through the Cheltenham Education Partnership and offered to member schools.

 

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

Entries can be video or audio of music and lyrics.  The song – based on a story, theme, passage or text from the Bible – may be performed by the composer or some other person.  Lyrics alone are not eligible.  Entries can be sent as MP3, MP4a, You Tube link or phone video, to beck.donaldson@christianartsfestival.org

Friday 10 March 2023  –  Entries can be submitted at any point up to this deadline.
